Breathwork refers to any type of breathing exercises or techniques. People often perform them to improve mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. During breathwork you intentionally change your breathing pattern. There are many forms of breathwork therapy that involve breathing in a conscious and systematic way. Breathwork promotes deep relaxation, stress reduction, emotion regulation and sense of well-being.

Nervous System Dysregulation?
A dysregulated nervous system occurs when the body's stress response system (autonomic nervous system) becomes unbalanced, either staying in a high-alert state (sympathetic overdrive) or shutting down (parasympathetic overdrive) even when there's no real danger.

Mark recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and holds a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate license. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from Emory University and Bachelor of Advertising from Texas Tech. He retired from a 30-year career of working in marketing/sales/business strategy in telecommunications and fashion retail.
